My path to where I am today was anything but linear. As I entered college, I felt destined to pursue a career in the S.T.E.M. fields with a focus on public health and medicine. However, my perspective shifted dramatically with one elective course. I took a communications class that opened my eyes to an entirely new career path. Through a few more classes within the KLEIN College of Communication, I knew this was where I needed to be.

    Growing up, I was always fascinated by media—watching movies, reading magazines, and joining any social media network I could find. Yet, I hadn't realized how accessible the world of communications was to me until that transformative elective. Soon enough, I decided to change my major to Advertising with a concentration in Brand Strategy and Research. This concentration perfectly merged my data-driven mind with my need to make things aesthetic and cohesive.

    I often found myself losing hours watching YouTube videos. During my freshman year, I decided to start a YouTube channel, and I begin to teach myself how to edit videos. After changing my major and starting my YouTube channel, the world truly opened up to me. I began taking on internships, became a campus ambassador for brands like Timberland and TWIST by Ouidad, and I also started working as a content creator.

   Throughout my journey, I have consistently gravitated towards the world of video editing. My favorite aspect of videos is the storytelling. From big-picture motion films to six-second TikToks, the stories are what keep us watching. My goal is to create videos that connect with audiences and leave lasting impressions.

    One of my favorite pastimes is listening to music. To me, music is a muse, and I believe it has the incredible power to elevate experiences and make moments unforgettable.
